What in the world is a blog?

Okay, who in the world invented the word "blog"?  It's a funny kinda name, like impignorate or snickerdoodle - a word that makes you stop and say "hmmmm..." or maybe "huh????".  Well, I am still not fully sure what a blog really means, but that obviously didn't stop me from creating one.  It's not the first time I've tried to put something together and then read the instructions so I could figure out why my masterpiece was put together backwards and upside down.  Sometimes experiencing trial and error keeps us on our toes and our brains cobweb free.  I am looking forward to "blog" and I being better acquainted over the next several months.  We shall see how our relationship evolves.
